This is the first plane. These strips are being shaped into 60 degree angles.

The strips are all the same size at this point. Only the 2 insides edges are shaped. The outside enamel is left intact. I am shaping them so they can be bound together for heat treatment. The leather glove is still there protecting my left hand from cuts and splinters. This is a rough plane because they are not planned down to desired size , just shape. The forms used to hold the strip are hardwood made by me.
