This is a new fly rod. All components of this unique, vintage style are fully functional. The ferrules fit well , separating with a definite pop.

new small straight , 5 inch compact cork handle with a macsrods dark maple reel seat

new chrome plated brass, aligned ferrules ,

dark brown flamed color,

new "Black Beauty " style black wraps

new perfectionist silver tiptop ,

new hook keeper with hex winding check,

mildrum strip guide,

and stainless steel snake guides (black colored).

This was the 17th rod that I have built. I have now built over 150 and this one still holds up. I did not sell it previously because I was holding it for a sell that never came through, no I am not that patient ,I forgot about it and left it in safe storage. It is one of several duplicates on this design. I have had friends and family field testing these rods for 8 years. I feel I have put in my time to come up with a decent split rod. This rod was hand planned by me. I used a dip tube to apply a new coat of polyurethane spar Marine varnish. The wraps are very professional with three coats of lacquer. Action is medium. This rod would ideal for dry as as it is very light .

You can now own that split bamboo cane rod that you have dreamed of , without paying thousands. It is beautiful to look at, but I built this rod for fishing. It casts like a dream .
